DOE LASHES

Updated: Jan 29, 2019

Thanks to my BFF Suzie, I finally found a mascara to round out my top 3! If you kept tabs on Closet of Style, you know my favorite mascaras are Trish McEvoy Curling Mascara and Chanel Le Volume Mascara. A little over a month ago, I decided to try Thrive Causemetics' Liquid Lash Extensions based on my friend's recommendation. The line is vegan and uses 100% cruelty-free formulas containing proven ingredients without the use of parabens or sulfates.

WHAT IT CLAIMS: This tubing mascara is powered by Orchid Stem Cell Complex™ to promote long-term growth + Flake-Free Liquid Fiber Technology™ that combines buildable fibers and Korean plant extracts to add dramatic length + curl, creating the glamour of faux-lashes without the glue.

WHAT IT CONTAINS:

Usnea barbata (lichen) plant extract + piperitum fruit extract to help improve overall lash health + strength, and Youth B5 Complex™ which features a combination of vitamin B5 + sodium hyaluronate to moisturize + strengthen lashes.

While I tried a few of the eyeliners within the line, I am not a fan. But this mascara, I love! One coat does it all. It stays put all day and gives you doe-like lashes. It washes off like most tubing mascaras (with warm water). The eye cream you use does make a difference in how it performs, so if you use an oil-based eye treatment, move it to evening and use a non-greasy eye cream in the morning.

To be perfectly honest, Trish's tubing formula is the best, but the brush is not (I switch out brushes, which is super inconvenient)). Liquid Lash Extensions is the next best thing. And actually, comes in #2 of my top 3.
